Changes, blah and students.

Everything changes at some point. Locations, relationship status, opinions and so on.

Lately I have been caught in quite a few black out moments when I am just staring out the window, lost in a different universe of the future or even the past. A lot of things are changing within the next couple of months and I majority of them are for the good!

Getting married, yes! Less than 2 months now and after many dramas and downsizing to fit our needs (OUR being the key word) we are going to be a married, man. Soon I will say my husband... pause for effect.

My family is practically splitting up, not what it sounds like. My mum is moving up to Warkworth with my little brother. I HATE! that I won’t get to see him every morning and be there for him when he has a bad day, no matter how annoying he is. I won’t be there to judge his first proper girlfriend, sigh. At least I have a car so I can drive up on the odd weekend.

My sister is moving to Aussie. She's not just my sister, my best friend, my roomy and my work out buddy. One person that is always on my side. Yeah. Enough said.

Opinions change, respect is lost. Forgiving is easy. Dramatic or not.

Working with kids I am always met with past memories, apart from that they teach me things (unintentionally) every day.

The appreciation of a hug and not a fake hug tap, a real hug.

When someone is laughing, it really is contagious.

When observing (sounds creepy) the way boys communicate, when they say “don’t worry" or are not heard after repeating themselves they just accept it and carry on back to their work. If that was me, I would kinda be offended, the joys of being a women. Boys/men are so simple. No offense meant. Applause really, I wish my mind would stop ticking sometimes.

I did a activity in my afterschool program trying to do something "fun". I played about 3 or 4 well known songs for these kids and they had to draw the main idea out from the song. 90% of my class are boys and they absolutely struggled with this activity. One song being Eenie Meenie by Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston, the meaning they wrote was that it was sung by Justin B. I was like -_- and I clicked half way through this lesson that guys just don’t see the meanings of things even if it is obvious! On the contrary the few girls I did have scored full marks. Ah bless.

Game of Thrones

Amaaaazing show. I feel like one of those people that jumped on the Hunger Games buzz without reading the books. At the start of the week I was unwell so instead of doing my usual YouTube routine I gave into the buzz (which I feel abit delayed in) and started streaming Game of Thrones. Fully not my thing, medieval times, regardless with the subtitles I got sucked into something that seams impossible to stop watching. I went through Season 1 in 2 days (each episode is about 60 minutes) and have just started the second season. With several different story lines and fast pace, high intensity action fighting scenes, this has become one of my favourite shows. I will start reading the books after I finish the second season. So good!

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Friends is hands down my favourite TV show. I am a nerd and have all ten seasons on DVD. I recently have been watching Season One, which is usually my least favourite season to watch because the characters are not very well developed. Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel is the most annoying in Season 1, she mastered the spoilt rich girl in most of this season. One thing I noticed in this season is how gorgeous Lisa Kudrow is. She has natural wavy, free flowing hair that fits with her character's personality. In season ten she has platinum blonde hair. I love the slight strawberry blonde tinge she has in season 1. So pretty.

Favourite Season: Season 3 with a very close 7 and 10.

I love season 3, mainly because Ross and Rachel finally get their act together and are a couple! This season was the first to trail an episode in just one set and having different story lines all in Monicas apartment. " The One When Where No One's Ready" is one of my favourite episodes. My favourite episodes are always the ones when they are all together.

Today I told my testimony for the first time to a work friend and it is the first time I didn't feel restricted like oh, maybe I shouldn't say that because they will judge me but I stood in Gods grace and spoke with His confidence in me, that I am a living testimony to His goodness. I am finally ok.

I have been making a cheesy romantic playlist for our wedding ceremony, songs that Jesse and I love and so many of these love songs I can just sing out to God. I love Jesse more then my life but I so easily find myself feeling the same way for God, if not more.  Hope it makes sense lol e.g.

Recently I have been reminded that our time here on this earth is short. Regardless of what happens, good or bad, one thing we will always have is memories. This Monday rocks, as of now!

"..Coldplay are coming to New Zealand!.." Is what I heard early this morning on my drive to work, so this is how my students felt when One Direction was announced and as I am sure Lady Gaga to some people? Coldplay has grown on my strongly for the past 5-6 years and I was so disappointed when I didn’t go to there last concert about 4 years ago which was around the same time as Kanye West, what a year.
10^th of November the boys will be gracing us with there presence, one week after my wedding!

What really happens at 3am

Waking up at 3am this morning I found myself thinking about some things that I only recently worked out, or accepted. I have been going to the gym consistently from the start of the year and one class that I never miss is fight do, I love it. The class is a mix of boxing and kick boxing (get to the point) I don't wanna yank my own chain? but I know every move and would consider myself pretty darn good at it but it only came to attention last week!? that I have been doing a move completely wrong, my trainer is amazing and intensely vocal during these sessions and I just never clicked, this is a class that I do at least 3 times a week! Good thing i'm always at the front of the class... Point being, sometimes you can hear things but until they click in you never really understand. So...  

• Mum is/was always right
• You should automatically trust your family, regardless of your trust issues
• Give people the benefit of the doubt, people are not as evil as you
• Really don't fall asleep with the window open, the flu is waiting just outside
• I like boy bands at any age, meaning I still like them, was hoping it was just a 12 year old girl thing
• Nothing creepy happens at 3:15am
• Missing people never gets easier
• I really want kids, but not for a long time. LONG time
• Hate feeling under appreciated 
• Wearing the right running shoes are really important, when you put pressure on your body it makes sense to spend a decent amount of money to protect your feet
• God wouldn't give you something you cant handle
• Battleship looks like a terrible movie

Bible Study: Day 1

Cool as diary that Brian got me for Christmas :) thanks.

So no creative title for this blog post yet but I am currently doing a bible study on the New Testament, starting in Matthew, reading 3 chapters a day. I didnt really have a specific book that I wanted to study, I just wanted to know more. I have this massive as bible with so much in it! I found this website that gives you a guideline on what to read each day to reach your goal! If I am consistent with my 3 chapters a day I should be finished in 3 months so... starting in Matthew and working my way through to Revelations. MASSIVE challenge but this will be such a achievement for me once I finish. I thought it would be cool to kind of keep a online journal of my thoughts with this study in note form so I don't know if this will be interesting but this is just what I got out of it. Yah, anywho, here goes.

Matthew 1-4 

• Don't always trust your head, Trust God,  He will reassure you.  Matthew 1:19
• Be faithful, listen to the commands. 
• Baptism, letting God flow over you. Washing away our sins. Every time someone is baptised, the heavens shall open. God said, " This is my son, whom I love, with him I am pleased." When we are baptised we are fresh full of spirit then..
• Chapter 4: We are at the risk of being tempted. The devil is knocking on our door, every minute. 
• Jesus is so gangster and perfect (that's what I wrote lol) 
• Every reply to the devil is so calm and flawless. I don't really know how I would keep my cool. 
• Jesus was given the chance to have all the things the devil was tempting him with, one being, having the opportunity to rule all the kingdoms in the world, then and there and being tempted in such a weak time (physically, he had been fasting for 40 days) but He stayed strong, knowing his rights in God. He pretty much has the best rep now, ruling over all the people that have ever walked this earth. Staying faithful leads to endless amounts of blessings. 
• Matthew 4: 10 And the devil left him. Just left, it goes to show in weak areas the devil will try to feed on our areas of weakness but when we stand strong in the God we know, preach what we know. The devil is pretty much gaping it left right and centre. 
• Stand in what you know, you don't need to recite a message but know that God loves you and he will protect you whenever you need Him. 
• Matthew 4:16: The people living in darkness, have seen a great light, on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.
• He knows His stuff, the man! Repent for the kingdom of heaven has come near. 

Final musing: Jesus just dedicated his entire life to God and his word. It just literally blows me away. These days we have so much going on, Jesus didn't even persue (from what I know) a wife or a job that gives him a lot of money, he just focused on God. We should be 100% aiming to be just like him. Ahh I am so in love right now. 11:50pm Monday 9th 2012

Wedding + New Year 2012

I am getting married this year! So major saving is taking place this year, which is about major discipline. Having no bills this year is a major relief! Really no excuse to not save. 


Which leads to my oh so cliché New Years Resolution check list! 

• Wedding Savings
• Restricted License...yes, I'm feeling the judgement vibes. 
• Car! doesn't have to be a  Ford Explorer but its time to own a new set of legal wheels, vital for a marriage I think too. 
• Some how with all this saving and expectations I'm setting for myself I am going to continue to eat healthy with weight watchers help AND exercise a minimum of 3 times a week. Major advantage to having 6 weeks holiday is there is no excuse to not work out 5 times a week. Feel sorry for my sister when she walks into the lounge to find a heavily breathing kick boxing Amy glaring at her. Would scare anyone in my opinion. Close to 10kgs down, but aloooong way to go! 
• Do a bible study. Something I know absolutely nothing about, I am more then ready to learn more about Him. God's prob gonna have to pull me along the way sometime this year.
• Be more patient. 
• Take more photos.

Say what you want but Kim Kardashian is just beautiful. Kudos to her for having a brave front as she gets butchered by the press. Break up's suck, what's worse is ending a marriage on international TV. Icky. I still love her ♥ 

This year something I really want to improve in is my photography, I would say I'm pretty creative and having a kinda decent camera I think this is something I can work on. I am trying to take a photo everyday this year. Not necessarily posing pictures, but things that I find beautiful through my eyes and attempting to capture it on my camera.
